The Suit of Batons

On this page, you can see the Suit of Batons for Tarocchino Arlecchino and Arlecchino’s Augmented Arcana.

This suit is based on an Autumnal woodland theme. The most famous Harlequin costume is a diamond pattern, but historically Harlequins have worn different sorts of patchwork motley. The Court of Batons all wear motley featuring fruits and leaves. To fill in cards 2-5, I continued the pattern of the existing cards, which is very similar to the Tarot de Marseille.
